Grand River Community Church
GRCC affirms the Fellowship Affirmation of Faith of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches in Canada, which holds that the Bible is the complete Word of God, entirely free from error as originally written; that there is one God in three equal persons, the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit; that people are justified through faith in Christ's sacrifice and regenerated and kept by the Spirit; and that churches practise believer's baptism and await the personal, bodily return of the Lord Jesus Christ.
Grand River Community Church meets on Wellington Road 18 in Salem; its postal address is Elora, and it is listed by the Township of Centre Wellington among the churches of the Fellowship of Evangelical Baptist Churches. The church’s vision is to love God by equipping believers to make disciples and serve in the kingdom of the Lord Jesus, and its mission is to glorify God through Jesus Christ by the power of the Holy Spirit.
Alongside the Sunday service at 10:00 a.m., the church runs Discovery Zone for children, a youth group, small groups and summer camps, and posts its sermons online.
What to expect
Sunday gatherings include Bible reading, singing, prayer and teaching, and the church says everyone is welcome and that all will be directed to the hope of the Gospel from beginning to end. A nursery is available for children under two for the whole service, and Discovery Zone runs for ages 2 to 10 during the sermon.
